Bahrain Strengthens Regional One Health Cooperation with WOAH


His Excellency Eng. Wael bin Nasser Al Mubarak, Minister of Municipalities and Agriculture Affairs, received Dr. Ahmed Al Majali, Regional Representative of the World Organisation for Animal Health (WOAH) in the Middle East, on the sidelines of Bahrain’s hosting of the regional workshop titled “Enhancing One Health Implementation through a Joint Action Plan.”

During the meeting, the minister emphasized Bahrain’s commitment to deepening collaboration with WOAH to advance the nation’s animal health systems and enhance joint efforts to tackle transboundary diseases. He also praised the organization’s pivotal role in supporting regional initiatives that promote One Health concepts and strengthen food security.

 

Dr. Al Majali, in turn, expressed his appreciation for Bahrain’s exceptional hosting of the workshop, lauding the Kingdom’s active role in fostering regional cooperation and demonstrating its dedication to the One Health approach.
