The Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) recently organised, in cooperation with its partners in the health sector, the first phase of the second awareness training course on the importance of taking care of the oral health of the elderly, which targeted human doctors, dentists, their assistants, nurses and oral hygienists, as part of efforts to intensify awareness about oral health in Qatar.

The first phase of the training course included a number of awareness and specialised lectures by doctors from Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) and Primary Health Care Corporation (PHCC), who focused on the importance of maintaining oral and dental health for the elderly, as this represents an enhancement to their general health.
