(TAP) - Tunisian neurologist Riadh Gouider, a graduate of the Faculty of Medicine in Tunis, was recently elected as foreign corresponding member of the French Academy of Medicine.
Gouider told TAP the French Academy of Medicine has all in all chosen 12 Tunisian doctors, mostly graduates of the French university, stressing that the new generation of Tunisians who joined this renowned institution are graduates of the Tunisian university and Tunisian faculties of medicine.
Professor Riadh Gouider is head of the Department of Neurology at Razi Hospital in Tunis, chairman of the board of neurology and neurosurgery and accredited member of the board of the International Federation of Neurology.
He is the second Tunisian neurologist to be selected to the French Academy of Medicine after Professor Mongi Ben Hamida.
Dr. Gouider and the Tunisian ambassador to France had received an invitation to attend an official ceremony scheduled for December 13 at the headquarters of the French Academy of Medicine in Paris.
