Karachi: Following torrential rains across Pakistan, health officials fear an outbreak of infectious diseases, particularly dengue, amongst the population due to stagnant water.
Reports show that more than 77 cases of Dengue Fever have surfaced in the past 24 hours. This totals to a shocking 788 cases in Sindh’s metropolis. To be specific, around 840 cases have been reported in Sindh, 788 of which are in Karachi alone.
Health Department also raises concern on the rising dengue cases in Punjab. A total of 22 dengue cases have been reported in the capital territory, out of which 17 were present in urban, and 5 in rural areas surrounding the Federal Capital.
