King Hussein Cancer Center (KHCC) Director-General Asem Mansour said that cancer patient treatment in Jordan costs, on average, JD30,000 per year, with 60 percent of the total amount going to medicine and other medical supplies.
Some medicine, he added, can cost up to JD100,000 and, in some cases, JD200,000.
The cost of treatment varies depending on the type and stage, he added. It also increases annually by 6 percent globally, he said.
