Ministry of Health-MOH confirmed on Saturday, that the death rate of Crimean-Congo haemorrhagic fever (CCHF) in Iraq is still lower than the global average, while noting that the approved treatment protocol has proven highly effective in curing the disease.
"The death rate from hemorrhagic fever infections is 14 percent, which is lower than the global average," the ministry's spokesman, Saif Al-Badr, told the Iraqi News Agency (INA), stressing, "the ability of all Ministry of Health institutions to diagnose the disease and provide medical care."
Al-Badr added, "The treatment protocol approved by the Ministry of Health has proven to be highly effective," noting that "dozens of the cases have fully recovered.
