Member of the Epidemiology Committee, Dr. Mohannad Al-Nsour said that the International Day of Epidemic Preparedness is recognized on December 27th of each year.

This day emphasizes the importance of various measures for effective prevention and control of epidemics including awareness programs, information and scientific knowledge exchange, the sharing of best practices, advocacy programs at the local, national, regional, and global levels, and the use of lessons learned on how to manage epidemics and how to support basic services, Al-Nsour indicated.
