Health Minister Khaled Abdel-Ghaffar announced on Thursday that Egypt has managed to fully vaccinate 50 million people against the coronavirus nationwide, which is 78 percent of the target population.
In a cabinet meeting in New Alamein City on Thursday, Minister Abdel-Ghaffar shared the latest developments concerning the coronavirus locally and internationally, including Egypt's vaccination campaign.
The minister revealed that 99.8 percent of the target population received their first shot of the vaccine, and 78 percent have received their second shot.
Abdel-Ghaffar said that 97 million doses of different kinds of coronavirus vaccines have been used, and that Egypt's remaining stock is enough to complete the vaccination process.
